试题答案: 答案解析:{{B}} The Prospects of the 21st Century{{/B}} What will the world be like the 21st century You may only read the answer in your home. Man’s life will be greatly changed by the new age of science and technology. Every house will have a television set connected with the telephone. People can see the person they are talking with. Cooking as an art will be only a memory in the minds of old people. It will never take people half an hour to prepare what people today consider an elaborate and substantial meal. Perhaps the biggest difference will be in the growth and popularization of consumers. But everything has two sides. The same can be said of the benefits we will gain from the new age of science of technology. The advanced technology will certainly multiply the power of the warmakers. But it is on man’s everyday life that it will exert a profound, far-reaching influence. For instance, since air planes will go cheaply and quickly between cities, people will move a great deal from place to place. They will become without roots, without a place that they really can call "home". As far as we students are concerned, the new century more likely means a challenge than a change. It forces us to make full preparation, both physical and psychological, because in the near future we will grow into manhood, the mainstay of the society, and because we will soon find ourselves living in an altered world which calls for new adjustments, new ideas, new habits of thought, and a new order of values. document.getElementById("warp").style.display="none"; document.getElementById("content").style.display="block"; 查看试题解析出处>>
