"Information overload" is a term popularized byAlvin Toffler. It refers to the difficulty a person can have in understanding an issue or making decisions. It can be caused by the presence of too much information. It is now common for people to get many e-mails, reports and incoming messages and they have to deal with them effectively. The advent of modern computers has created and duplicated vast amounts of information, and thus the problem of Information Overload appear amongst the general population. The root of the problem is although computers’ processing ability and memory volume are increasing all the time, we humans, who are meant to utilize the information, are not getting any faster in terms of our brain power.As a result, the human mind is actually the bottleneck in the process.
